Getting Involved
Each fall, Lion Fund accepts new applicants. The application process involves a written application and two rounds of interviews. We look for candidates that have an interest in investing and a strong desire to learn. No prior experience is necessary: while real world experience is certainly a plus, we recognize that many students do not have exposure to the financial services industry. As such, Lion Fund accepts many students without prior investment experience or knowledge. Naturally, the process is competitive: each year we accept about 10 applicants from pool of over 400, and we encourage all current Columbia or Barnard students to apply.

The Lion Fund EDUCATION FOUNDATION SCHolARSHIP
The Lion Fund Education Foundation is excited to announce its inaugural scholarship to high-potential Columbia undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in finance. The scholarship is designed for students who have the talent, drive, and intellectual curiosity to succeed, but may not have the same financial flexibility, professional network, or exposure to the financial services industry as some of their peers.
We encourage all Columbia/Barnard students, primarily first generation college students and / or recipients of financial aid to apply.
The selected Lion Fund Scholar will receive:
A dedicated alumni mentor who will provide ongoing career guidance and support.
Career preparation and access with internship preparation, networking, and interviewing.
Access to Lion Fund alumni, professional development opportunities, and community events.
$5,000 in annual financial support for the remainder of the scholar's time at Columbia.
Selected scholarship candidates that advance through the Lion Fund process will be invited to an interview with a commitee of Lion Fund alumni. Scholarship selection is independent of Lion Fund admission, and any sensitive information provided by applicants will be kept confidential and accessed only by the alumni committee.
